Hello! I’m an award winning filmmaker, animator and illustrator based in Brooklyn, New York.

With 15+ years of freelance experience, I’ve worked as a 2D animator and director for clients such as Pokémon, the NBA, 2 Chainz, Eminem & Snoop Dogg, Netflix, Showtime, Disney and the X-Games. In addition, my short films have played at a variety of prestigious festivals, illustrations have been both published and featured in prominent gallery exhibitions and I’ve served on several film festival juries.

Recently my film Buzzkill screened at over 60 festivals, winning 12 awards including Best Animated Short at Screamfest, Flicker's RIIFF Vortex, GenreBlast and Woodstock - the latter resulting in an Academy Award qualification. It’s now streaming on Screambox, Alter and as a Vimeo Staff Pick. My new award winning film Poppa is currently playing across festivals worldwide.

These days I’m available for remote work from my home studio, which includes a large Cintiq, Adobe’s Creative Suite, a grumpy cat and all the necessary file sharing and communication tools.

Thank you Animation Speak/Easy for having me as a guest last night - I was thrilled to present an animated short that made a formative impression on me: “Vincent” written and directed by a 22 yr old Tim Burton and narrated by Vincent Price!

It was so cool to watch this film with a big crowd, talk with Anna Samo about its legacy and discuss Burton’s influence on my own coming of age and how that directly lead to my career in animation.
But the best part was hearing the audience’s reactions and stories about their personal relationships with Burton’s work and the niche he fostered for macabre animation!
